Ayup Your Christmas!

Well I have to say I'm impressed with you dropping in like this. On a Christmas holiday an' all. Well chuffed we are. Thanks for dropping by.

Christmas time is quality feet-up and chill out time and here you are browsing in on the daftest website in Yorkshire. Good on you.

Hope your Christmas is going well - me and our lass have cleared the decks this year and we're dug in for a few days. Proper hibernation. Fridge full of quality snap, some Becks Dark chilling in the ice box, and about half a deli's worth of serious nibbles. Camonbert. Vermont Cheddar. Stilton. Bousin. Merlot. Cabernet Sauvignon. Bahlsen. All we need is some daft films on the box and we'll be happy till the end of Boxing Day.

I know we should be paying attention to the health freaks amongst you - watching the weight and the calories - so we don't croak of Chocolatitis or Coca Colaration or something. But we intend to have ourselves a seriously good time.

In the past we've both done the sociable thing. The family thing. The ten pints and a curry thing. The all day Christmas hangover thing. The see how many strangers you can snog in town without the other half coming at you with a socket wrench thing....

And now we're doing the home-alone phone off the hook thing, preferably with Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, Clarence the Angel 2nd Class and Lionel Barrymore shouting "Sentimental Hogwash" at seasonal passers by.

I'm sure that at some point I'll get on the blower and see how the folks are doing, but other than that I'm staying off the computer and keeping well away from civilization. Even now we're drawing the curtains, stoking the fire and getting a right fug up.

Hope you're having a good Christmas yourself - It can't be bad if you've found yourself a scurrilous little website like this one to waste a few seconds.

So what's the deal? Brand new computer? Looking for the Boxing Day results and got lost?

Anyroad - mighty glad to see you anyway, and many compliments of the gorging season to you! Hope you drop back in when you've a spare moment. Happy Chrimble, Merry Hannukah and a hip'n'groovy Kwanzaa to one an' all.

Right you can go now. Back button's up there in the left hand corner...

What do you think about how we are shown on television?

The rules of this Community are pretty simple. You can join in as a registered member and leave a message on any one of the "threads" of conversation you see here. You will notice that all the topics correspond to the main topics here on the mag. Quite simply we want strong opinions on almost anything connected to the county of Yorkshire, England's largest county. Keep your language clean though, and please respect other contributors.

Yorkshire is not just the largest county geographically, we have both the largest population and the biggest local economy in the United Kingdom. Yes there are more Tykes than Scots! And we want the youthful in spirit - none of your "flat-cap-and-bronte-sisters" old school thinking.
